Again I think people confuse doing reining and being a reiner. They are 2 very different things. Any horse can be taught to rein. However most are will never be reiners. Kind of like cutting. You can teach a horse to rate a cow. Does not mean they are a cutter.

Reining fundamentals are great for any horse. It teaches them a lot. That does not make them reiners.
