Horse headed to a true trainer-finally!

So excited and nervous......but finally I have found a true reining trainer I trust in the east to send my guy to who has agreed to take him. Many really good trainers really are not thrilled that he is a cross (with TWH no less, which I hate to admit)......but I think this trainer will really work well for both of us, and give aus a good chance to have fun and be somewhat competitive. He also has lesson horses, which is key, so I can also learn to ride right, since I am transitioning from English. Soo excited and ready to have a horse who at least has a possibility of going in the Greens in the spring! YAY!

Congrats!! It's amazing what some of the pros can do for us. It's the same with me, even though I COULD work with my horse myself I'm so scared that I'll screw it up somehow and the trainers can get SUCH better results than most of us can!

You must post some pics/video of his progress for us ^^

Pssh.I didn't pick up the wrong lead
It's called a counter canter...
...A very advanced maneuver.

Thanks-they can also make progress MUCH faster, and he, nor I are getting any younger!

I am trying to figure out the vodeo camera, me thinks I may get some help with that really soon, since the frist grandchild will arrive in the next few weeks...(the REAL reason I don;t have much time right now! )

Good deal. You will have a lot of fun once things get going really well.

Congrats on finding the right trainer and a big congrats on the new grandbaby on the way! Pictures of both are a must!

There is a 1st yr 4-H kid in our local club that won her reining class on her TWH. Her horse was the only one in the class that nailed all of his lead changes.

Life is like a camera. Focus on what's important, Capture the good times, Develop from the negatives and if things don't work out, Take another shot.

There will be pics, I promise.

Great job that kid must have done with that TWH-mine really is more like a QH, other than the silver tail.....which, altho pretty, is sort of like a flag that says "TWHX".

I want to fast forward to the end of November when I go home and can see the progress.....(even tho the trainer will be at the futurity.....).

It is also a huge plus that my daughter can take lessons there too. She will not listen well to me, and I know she will love reining!

May I ask who the trainer is and where he is at? Good luck to you, and yes, progress reports are requested. Thank you!
