I finally have a video of Mystique's reining pattern!

The show was in the beginning of December and I finally have the video : )

This was in the beginning of December and she'd only had 90 days of serious training back in March, April, and May. For about six months before the 90 days and about six months between the 90 days and the December show, I mostly did trail riding and only worked on reining once or twice a week (except for right before the show). So I was happy with how she did. Yes, she was 6 but she only had as much experience as a 2-3 year-old.

This was her first show ever (not just her first reining show). She was really tired because she had already shown in two halter classes, showmanship, and three gaited classes under saddle - and she'd done two gaited classes under saddle the day before.

I also screwed up the pattern : /

I ended up doing an extra fast circle to the left because for some reason I was thinking I was supposed to start my rollbacks from that lead. I realized right after the center and I should have just yanked her over from there. She doesn't really know lead changes, anyway. Oh well... the other person was DQd as well.

Not bad. Just make your small circle smaller and stay away from the end fence a bit more and you will being doing great.

Do not worry about the extra circle. Happens to all of us at one time or anouther.
