"hot" reiners are a pain in the butt! I trained them for years and still do my own, and I spend a LOT of time trying to prevent hot (which is just anticipation, usually).
It always aggrivated me when people say sliding horse "pulls itseld along with it's front feet." huh? Lol. And I also love the fact that people thing we just jerk and spur our horses into submission. We'd blow them up if we did that! And get called for blood! Geez. I never had too many WP people look down their nose at us reiners, but also didn't go to many shows that were anything BUT reiners. I know we can get as bad rep for taking over the warm-up pen though.... WP riders beware, when they announce fencing time, go take a break! Lol
