Instructional reining DVDs

I have team roped and started or broke well over 500 horses. I am 38 and have been doing it for money since I was 16. I can put a real nice handle in a horse in no time. Moving off of heal pressure neck reining, collecting up nice and side passing and going backwards real nice. My children are now of age to compete and I want it to be reining and or pleasure for awhile. I am looking for some advice on who has the best instructional DVDs out there to help me get one finished up or closest enough to get lessons to finish from a local pro. Les Vogt is what I have came up with so far. I don't have a lot of time for clinics etc. I just want help on here you tube and some good step by step DVDs. Any and all opinions are welcome..

I've heard some pretty good things about Shawn Flarida's website. I've never tried it because I'm too cheap to spend the $34.95 a month membership fee, however the videos he gives his members access to are supposed to be pretty good.
I've been to his clinics a few times, and if his videos are as good as his clinics it may be worth a few months of membership fees. :)

If you ever get the chance, go, it's great! Even auditing is great. Shawn and Mike teach in such a way you walk away from it with tons of notes and great things to work on.

I missed the one this year, it fell on a weekend we were showing down in KY. I found out when I got back that Inside Reining was in Cloverdale filming it, a lot of NRHA big-wigs were there, and a few additional trainers were there along with the Flaridas..... ugh!!!

Welcome to the Horse Forum!

Les Vogt is excellent. His 'Cowhorse U' series has helped a lot of people I personally know. His 'Five Easy Pieces' is a very good starter video. The information in it will help anyone in any discipline -- not just those interested in reining and reined cowhorse classes.

Sandy Collier is also good.

I agree, Sandy Collier is a good one as with Les Vogt. I like Al Dunning too. Larry Trocha has some YouTube Videos but more cutting horse oriented rather than reining.

Check out giddyupflix.com. It's basically like Netflix for horse people. Someone on here told me about it and I'm in love. They have tons of DVDs you can rent, so you don't have to drop tons of money on them. I think I pay like $10 bucks a month
