Need stallion Opinions

I've recently fallen madly in love with this stallion, Shady lil Starlight. I first heard about him at the snaffle bit futurity 2010 when they handed me a stud page of his. I've been looking into him a lot since then and im speechless when it comes to this stallion.

What are your opinions of him? Pros, cons everything.

He is absolutely stunning! I'm a major sucker for white blazes like that on any shade of brown...

He seems really downhill though. I know most QH's are down hill anyways, but he seems more so than majority of the reiners I've seen. Hard to tell as there isn't much for side shots of him.

If I had a level or up-hill built, breed-able mare and a need for an expensive top quality reiner/cow horse, I'd breed to him.

I think he is gorgeous and has a lot of earnings. I just don't like the roaning on his belly. I'm actually surprised they call him a sorrel. I thought it was sweat at first but then I kept seeing it. That is probably why I don't like it. But I love his face and he seems very well manured.

reining cow horse he would be good.... wouldn't pick him for reining but you never know.... seems like his bloodline hits reining cowhorse better.

Are you looking for a reining prospect or reined cow horse?

The white on his belly comes from the Highbrow Cat line. I love Grays Starlight horses (He is also the sire of Spooks Gotta Gun) but now a huge from of the Highbrow Cat horses as reiners, I find they get too bored with it, and need more stimulation. Also has he been tested for herda?

The white is Rabicono and it comes from the Doc O'lena line.

I think he is a very nice stallion. Personally I like the rabicano gene. They do come from Doc Olena, which High Brow Cat is double bred...Grays Starlight is also one of my favorite bloodlines for reining, along with the Nu Chex lines. Beautiful boy though.

He's a nice stallion, especially since he is a proven performer.

On that one picture of him that is as close to a confo picture as they have, I'm not sure if it's just a really crappy photoshop job or if his front legs/feet are really that wonky. I am leaning more toward bad photoshop but I would need better pix to say for sure.

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/
