Horse didn't look like he wanted to do the spin in the first place. : /

It may just be you and me, Cori, but I too would have jumped off and checked him out a little before leading him out of the arena. But then again, I am paranoid about my horses getting hurt, especially if it was from something I either did or asked them to do.

Not to mention a horse with heart would walk off with half a leg gone. It would be nice to know if the horse is okay.

These horses are donated for the competition by their owners. There was not enough of the horse at the beginning to really see how he was moving before hand.

The cue for the spin was normal. It was not that the horse did not want to spin it was just the way he is being cued. Also depending on how much the rider had worked this horse.

As to getting off. I tend to agree. I would have gotten off also. However I get off once I am done and walk out anyway.

They were donated? As in the people riding them aren't the usual people and they draw lots to see who is riding who?

Ouch, poor guy.

I noticed that too, good catch! He also looks lame right after he gets up, you can see him favoring the off hind. The spin didn't look entirely correct to me either, keeping in mind I'm a jumper.

The horses for the other countries that come into the US to compete use horses who are donated for the event.

There was an add in the reiner a few months ago if you had a reiner that could be used to let them know. They put them on a list and the competitors could pick one. I never looked into it past that.

Thats pretty cool! Learn something new every day! I wish I knew more about reining. It seems very cool.

Thats great that people were willing to lend their horses for the event. I would be too paranoid!
