Hello, I'm miranda and I have a few questions. I just recently starting riding a horse that has two years of reining training and I need some pointers. I would consider myself a intermediate rider maybe even experienced but I've had two years off of riding to take care of a one year old.
I competed in horse shows and 4-h for close to 7 years and have owned horses all my life. I am riding a horse named Smokin JoJo she is an amazing horse. She is the most sensitive and catty horse I have ever rode. I have done two rides on her and will continue riding weekly until we are both in shape (she's had three years off).
Our first ride went great, she only took a couple minutes to get back into the swing of things :). I'm very pleased with her manners and level head.
Now although she is a great horse I on the other hand have limited reining experience and struggle with cueing correctly and probably over cueing her.
I guess all I need is some pointers and maybe links to information that could help me ride her better. I appreciate any information :) thank you
