Thinking about breeding

Im thinking about breeding this stallion to a friends mare.
His name is Rey Posado Gold
He's my horse Twinkie's brother.
I figure if I can't breed Twinkie because he's gelded and his sire is deceased then his brother would be just as good.
I can't remember the mares bloodlines that my friend has I had looked at them like a year ago and they are breeding worthy. What do you guys think of him though?

First I say that I like him. However it does not look like he is located in the US. I also think he is over priced. You can get proven sires for less or the same.

As to using him. Would have to see the mare.

I will get pics of the mare tonight and I will write down her bloodlines.

I do agree he is a little over price, but I almost feel like its worth it because he is a master Jay son and a brother to m y horse. I'm still thinking about it nothings been decided yet. I pretty sure she can ship semen here she's in australia right now.

It would have to be frozen and if they do not have some already to go and come into the states or hear I would start talking to them now. I am not sure what is entailed shipping semen in the US but shipping it out requires quite a bit.

I'll definitely talk to her about it soon, I'm not in a hurry or rush for anything to happen. I'd like to get another look at my friends mares papers again anyways. She's a pretty nice mare a little taller than I like but she's nice. I might just save my money and buy a 2-3yro. There's a few things about the mare conformationally that I'm not sure about so I'd like to post pictures of her here first to get some opinions.

Foal
Probably find shippping from Aus to the states quite easy! We don't have any big scary diseases here so we can ship animals out of the country quite easily its just getting them back once they have been out that's the problem :) $1000 for semen with a live foal guarantee is pretty cheap over here right now the conversion rate is pretty excellent also :)

He is certainly well bred. Colonel Freckles and Peppy San Badger is a very nice cross for a good using horse. I do wish they had some better angled pictures of him that don't make him look all wonky though LOL. I think if you are willing to pay however much is needed to get a good mare bred, then go for it.
