Video of my reining mare!

I got some stopping footage today FINALLY, it's at the end.

She was fabulous and to be fair I was really hungry and loped a few circles then stopped so she wasn't adequately tuned up (as in worn out a bit). Which cause our rundowns to not be perfect. Not to concerned though, I'm going to spend the next few weeks not stopping at all really and just working on rundowns. She's been stopping AWESOME lately. She's even circling really soft.

One of the stops is kind of slowed down, I did that because the camera skipped and made the stop REALLY fast, so this is a compromise aha.

Wish I got some spinning footage, but I didn't even think to do that.

Nice. Every time you slide her, back her up and let her sit a few seconds..helps get their rear down into the slide

Beautiful stopper...Agree with above post, I always ask for a few steps back after a schooling stop, or after it is established ask to back until they round their back and begin to step back, then say whoa and drop the rein. This helps them stay round and engaged in the stops with their hocks low to the ground.
