I'm not really an official reiner, LOL, but I do have my horse with a reining trainer right now.
During our discussion during my one lesson I have had so far with her (while my horse is under her care), she talked about how sometimes before she competed, she'd sometimes have to lope a horse in circles for 45 minutes until they were soft and where she wanted them.
So I would imagine that if you get 10 different people to answer this thread, you are going to get 10 different answers. Because everyone has their own personal preferenances, and each horse is so unique in what they need to warm up and be ready.
However I don't imagine that any reiner warming up their horse is going to crank their neck to the side ..... that just doesn't sound right.

It is not enough to know how to ride; one must know how to fall.
