Pilates vs Yoga for riders
Hey all, I am a longtime rider but I took some years off recently for many reasons. I've decided it's time to get back on the horse, so to speak, but I know I don't have the same leg and core strength I used to! I used to do yoga, dance, and swimming to condition for riding; these days I powerwalk with my dog a few miles a day and that's about it. I really want to build back up the necessary riding muscles, but I've read in a few places that pilates is better than yoga, and vice versa. Does anyone have any personal input into this? I would just do both, but I am in the process of planning a wedding and finishing my degree so I have to be super frugal with my time and get the most bang for my buck!
