Question Summer sun protection for the rider?

Does anyone use SPF/sun-protective clothing?

My boarding facility does not have an indoor arena and the Texas sun can be brutal! Sunblock and hats/sunglasses are a necessity and I try to avoid being out midday. I'd like to wear as little as possible to stay cool, but I know covering up is the smart/healthy course of action to prevent sun damage. I'm trying to get prepared for the next few months as it's already in the 90's and will only get hotter...

I always use sun cream and wear a cap (when I'm not wearing my riding hat, that is!) in the summer! :)

A cowboy or wide brimmed hat help keep the sun off the face. Consider wearing a light scarf around your neck as the back of it is particulary susceptible to sun burn.
