HOmemade Pole bending poles and bases

Made poles years ago using old hockey stick shafts or like type wood put them in old paint can & set them in cement for the base. they lasted for years

Do you think tire rims would work as a base?? I seen some pvc pipe in a tire rim the other night and it was the first thing I thought of was would they work for pole bending bases. Cause we have alot of them around the house haha.!

I don't see why tire rims wouldn't work. Just so they arent to wide for the horse to trip over. The center hole may be to big to fit the pvc pipe in, but if you know someone who welds, they could work something out to make them fit. Those would also be good so you can take the poles out for ease of storing.
