So I tried roping at a rodeo...

I got myself entered to be a header for a good friend of mine, and we got a 16 second time the the slack, (missed my dally) which put us in the rodeo :). There was some tough competition. The one team go to every rodeo, rope every day. Yeah. They were the last team to go, we were second last. Well. I went out there and roped it right out front and my friend scooped up doubles. Yay!

The team after us got a slower time, but it was a combination of our overall times... so yeah. We were a few seconds out of the buckles! If I woulda got my dally the first time, we woulda had it!

Girl power for the win!

Just thought I'd share :)

That's awesome!!

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift-that's why it's called the present.

Bad-Ass!! Great job.

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/

Thanks guys! Turns out there is a video of our run somewhere. I'll have to find a way to get it. :)

It's kinda funny cause my horse would NOT stand right in the box yesterday. And my dad was in there trying to get her to stand right, and there was guys telling me to wait and stuff. I know that my horse is honest enough that she can be standing crooked, and still put me up in place. So I told my dad it's fine, got some funny looks, nodded and almost won it all!

Hahah several guys came up to us after and congratulated us on our good run. :) Maybe I'll have partners for the Open roping next rodeo. :P
