Proper fit of western saddle, help!

I don't think the saddle I currently have is fitting on my new horse properly. It is just the front end that seems to be sitting funny, it doesnt seem to be causing any problems right now but to me I think its putting too much pressure on his shoulders. Try to put my hand in between the saddle and saddle pad and the front corner has quite a lot of pressure into my horses shoulder. Would oiling the saddle help with that or does it sound like the saddle is just not made for him. I don't want to be spending tons of money going thru a bunch of saddles to try and find the right one for my horse and I so..

Can anyone tell me the best way to measure up a horse for a saddle, how to measure a saddle to see if it will fit your horse properly, as well as how you know you are in the right size saddle yourself?

Thank you for your time.

.

Oiling does nothing for fit.

Can you post some pictures of the Saddle on your Horse without a saddle pad....

.

May all your Trails be happy and safe ones

Make sure to take clear pictures of both sides, as well as down the front and from the back. Also take a few WITH a saddle pad, same kind of pictures so we can give you the best advice possible.
