Saddle Causing a hollow back?

I have been told that possibly the cause of this is the pommel is too narrow on Charlie's saddle and I am wondering how the best way to fit a saddle to him would be considering I can't take him anywhere. What should I measure (on charlie) to take the the store to pick a saddle that will fit us?

Don't jump to conclusions. Take some photos. Look at other threads with saddle fit photos to see how to do it. Without pad on, and one or two with you IN saddle
