Who here rides their donkeys? Saddle fit?

Do you ride yours and where did you find a saddle to fit?

I have three donkeys, one older gelded jack who is a pet and two nice built Jennie's who turn one year old this month. In a few years when the girls have matured I would like to send them off to be saddle trained. Both are already pretty tall girls so they should be plenty big enough to ride once they fill out and mature. But I have never seen a donkey saddle and it's quite obvious my horse saddles are not going to work as they are all made for large wide horses.

I have heard of people custom ordering aussie saddles for their donkeys, but I have no personal experience

You might be able to get by with a mule saddle. Mules, in general, are built more like donkeys with the flat back, no withers, and more narrow. If a mule saddle doesn't fit, you may have to go fully custom and have a tree made to fit.
