The similarities in appearance between Zee and some of the other Zeus offspring is truly remarkable, even the facial expressions!

Based in the face markings and color I am 99% sure it is the same one.

In the video you posted, the first thing I thought was the poor trot and that was even mentioned in the site I posted. The date of death I missprinted in my original post and noticed it said 1988 but that could be a misprint.

There are some nice lines in this one but the Furioso line can be difficult to work with.

I believe the Matador line IS Hanovarian though.

One more thing.

If your horse's dam was approved and registered in the Hanovarian studbook and the sire was not the mare owner can present the foal to either the sire's studbook or the dam's--where ever they feel it will be accepted and the Hanovarian is the most prestigious.

Thanks for the additional info Spyder! With all of his paperwork being in German, I have a tough time learning anything about his history or his lineage! It's very cool to find so many half siblings that look like him though...

Thats not a for sale ad - the stallion is deceased. It is a stallion add for the stud as a sire of some of their progeny.

has a different photo of him and more info

Never judge a book by their cover, also never judge a pony by their height. They tend to be big personalities in little packages.

Thanks guys! There is a ton of great info here!! Now, if I can find the name of the farm in Germany where my boy was born, or the one where he was trained, we'll have a whole other topic for research!!!

Zeus offspring are highly sought after in Europe. Like many stallions there, if he was approved in Oldenburg, bred to Hanoverian mare, the offspring may well have been registered hanoverian. Look to the spring auctions and see what you see. Also google translator works fairly well on german and dutch sites. He brings something special to his offspring from what I have heard, but for the life of me, can not remember the specific. A number of breeders I know actively are looking for Zeus in the blood.
