I think it is rare to find now-a-day's - since many Fox Hunts are now going with drags instead and changing from "Blooding" to just enjoying the sport.
Today we have alot of Animal Rights Activists and laws have changed and are changing. The ratio between the Fox Hunts who do Kill in compareson to those who don't, is minimal. Far, far, far more Hunts today all over the world don't, won't nor encourage it.
If my Hunt Group encouraged it or did "blood" I wouldn't put any money towards their organization because I don't encourage it, nor like it. There's no need for it what-so-ever.
I don't think the OP was asking weather or not foxhunting was vile, they were asking about the breed of horses. When I was fox hunting in WNY, most of the riders had draft crosses (mostly tb/perch crosses) as well as a few pure TBs and a small handful of other breeds (do remember one guy with a fox trotter than always came). The younger kids usually just had mixed breed ponies. A lot of farms in the area were breeding TB/percherons specifically for fox hunting and eventing horses.
