Can be from recent years or years long since passed. You can name more then one if you like. Feel free to share pictures. My favorites came from past years in this order:
1. Man O' War- even as an old fella he looked like one imposing stallion, plus he was a fantastic racehorse who won all but one race (the one he lost by a nose)
2. Ruffian- one of the more thicker boned fillies that I've seen but something about the way she ran was magical. It was like she was mocking her competition every time she set foot on the track
3. Assault- the horse who ran with a deformed hoof. As a foal on King Ranch in Texas he stepped on a stake which is what caused the hoof to grow deformed. He was known as the "Club Footed Comet" because of his speed. At any other gate he would limp but at a full gallop he never showed any signs of his hoof problem. With his deformed hoof he became the only Texas bred Triple Crown winner in 1946. Sure his career was hard but it led him to accomplish great things. Sadly he was found to be infertile after retirement.
4. Secretariat- also a fantastic race horse, his Belmont win was the stuff of legend. He may have only won 16 races out of 21, on better tracks then Man O' War, but he still was a beautiful horse. It was as a racer that I like him, not as a stallion.
