I have an almost 3 year old who my mom bred to her stud, please do not tell me she is too young to breed because I do know that and specifically told my mom I did NOT want her bred but she did it anyway. Each time I saw them together I had to separate them, this was only twice on 2 different days.
Anyway, she's an AQHA, her sire is SKIPEDYDODADEEBAR and her dam is IMA LILLY LENA, bay filly who will be turning 3 in 2 months and her attitude has completely changed since she's been mounted twice. I read that some mares have aggressive outbursts toward their pasture mates because of their hormones.
Today however she met over the fence a gelding and seemed really interested in him as if she was in heat and he kept grabbing her by her crest right above her withers and she'd squeal but not show any aggression, then she peed in front of him and he didn't seem to care. That was the only time she lifted her tail though. So I'm kinda confused.
Photo of my mare below. She was supposedly bred in November and I'm planning on having her vet checked as soon as I move in less than a month.
