Angry ***Sunday Jan 6, 2012*** TACK THEFT BOULDER, CO

My barn owner sent out an email this morning the main point being:

"If you haven't heard already, the ranch has been violated for the first time in history of AOR. This morning, I arrived at the ranch to find the gate open and a large number of Western saddles stolen from inside the barn."

I'm, obviously, appalled. I haven't heard what brand, style, size, etc of the saddles missing but, will update as soon as I hear something back. Once I do please keep a lookout for these saddles as many of them are used in a therapeutic riding program and outreach program for the community.

If anyone is in colorado especially the metro area keep a close watch on your tack and livestock.

Isn't your tack locked up? It takes but one person to run their mouth about all of the nice tack at the barn and one set of 'large' ears listening.

Yes, we're pretty sure now who did it. She has since (on her own accord) asked for a police escort and moved her horse. My tack wasn't stolen. My tack is locked up very securely. My barn owner who has a lot of donated and collected tack that she uses for therapy was stolen from the barn. The entire property is locked. When you come to see your horse you usually had to unlock the combo locked gate then drive up to the barn when you leave you lock it so it was always locked. When the barn owner came out the next morning the gate and barn were left open and a large number of saddles taken.

now there are larger chains and locks that no one but the barn owner can open on the main gate to the barn and locks on all tack rooms in the barn. plus cameras.
