Hanoverian/TB Bay Gelding Stolen in VA

A friend just posted this on Facebook, so I'm heeding her call and sharing it here. Keep an eye out for Jos.

*****STOLEN FROM WILLIAMSBURG, VA***** PLEASE SHARE FAR AND WIDE!!!! Dear Friends -- PLEASE HELP!!! Someone came to the farm in the dark early this am and stole my beautiful boy, Jos, right out of his stall! Karen found him missing when she arrived this morning to feed. He obviously had been in his stall all night, he was just gone this morning. I'm posting some photos of him and here is a description. He's a Hanoverian x Thoroughbred cross, 16.1 hh, bay, white star and white sock on his right hind, about 1100 lbs, goes by "Jos" or "Jossie." Very people-oriented and docile. He has a brand on his left flank that shows the Hanoverian "upside-down crown" with the number "39" below it. If you hear of a horse like this for sale, PLEASE contact me. We've notified the police and we're trying to notify everyone in the area to please keep a look out for him. THANK YOU!! ****CONTACT 757-268-1747 OR JAMES CITY COUNTY POLICE***

What's the middle part of the story?

There was no middle, that went from bad to good really quickly. The owner put up her story on netposse. Whoever took him tried to "black out" his brand and white mark with shoe polish, but when that didn't work, dropped him back off at the driveway of the barn. The owner suspects the proliferation of his information online helped to force the thief to return him.
