Missing pony-not stolen

Large pony mare, dark bay, Canandaigua NY. Left her paddock on Hickox rd this am between approx. 8 and 10. We have done all kinds of searches-the latest being on horseback, and so far only hoofprints along County Rd 32, lost them at Woolhouse rd. This is a little girls 4-h pony-her name is Beau. If you see her, please call the Ontario County Sheriffs department. Thanks-lets hope we find her safe.

Have you posted on Netposse?

Told the owners to post there, as well as call the local media-they spent the day driving around......:( So dangerous at night for the pony as well as drivers. Hope we find her today, but LOTS of woods around, and pony had just been moved to her new home last saturday, so probably doesn't know home.

Netposse will send out alerts so horse people in the area will be more likely to know about it.

Fingers crossed they find the pony!

I know-thanks-will hope the more directly connected people will do that. Once I get word she has not been found yet today, I will do it myself if they don't. So far, it doesn't look like they have taken ANY of our suggestions, which is somewhat frustrating. Just driving around in cars and 4-wheelers. Yeah-that will help......:( Poor scared pony. The owners are not really too horse savvy, thought they were doing a good thing building a barn for the kid to bring her pony home.....to live alone. I can't believe the old BO where she was didn't advise them differently......grrr. We are convinced that horseback is the way to go to find her-she is MUCH more likely to be seen, heard, etc, and not run off.

Poor girl. When they find her, they better get her a companion!

My first horse was a wanderer if kept alone. Its in their nature.
