This was a similar case - check the court documents in the links from the article.

Please keep looking for my girls! If you find them, I will buy them back.

That similar case was not a good example... she was given 2 years probation where she can't acquire horses for two years. Slap on the wrist for sending 120 horses to slaughter.

Report: Kelsey Lefever to get probation, be restricted in horse activities - PaulickReport.com

I have to say I think you should have done more homework before giving your horses away. Sounds to me like you may have just sent them to the first people that offered them a home. I would never have let my horses go two states away if I was concerned about their well being. I would want them close enough to check on.

That case is not similiar at all.

I am still curious as to why someone from teeny tiny Darwin MN would go all the way to IL for companion horses. We have plenty in MN

Shoulda, woulda, coulda.......we all make less than stellar judgements at times. Didn't read the other post, so I don't know the long version but it seems like you're very stressed out. Sorry, I hope you can locate them. Have you tried the different horse groups on facebook? Get their photos out there, maybe someone has seen them. Good luck.

I hope you find the horses, but if you have not found them in a months time, I would not count on finding them. I do have to state this.. I would NEVER give my horses away to a total stranger. You should just learn from this and move forward. I hope you don't get any more horses to give away
