Don't worry about the skirts rubbing on a Big Horn hybrid. They are soft and the pad will elevate them anyway. Not like stiff leather skirts. I'll be glad when the manufacturers wise up and show front shots of the saddles and give us the measurements at both the top of the bars and the lower edge. The visuals would be an asset to their sales. I know that many people are confused over the terminology of qh bars, semi, full, wide, arab, gaited with full qh bars...........Huh? I get asked all the time.

So do you think the 20.5" tree will be okay if I measured his back at 20"? I agree that it's all confusing and that is compounded by a lack of standards between the manufacturers.

The Bar will touch the shoulder blade (the reason for the flair in the Arabian tree, then go back to the 2nd to the last rib, if that is 20.5" or less you have a winner in that part.

We had a border once with a 13-2 Arabian and a saddle like that would have worked fine.

Unless you have a Pony or a Fiord or something smaller/shorter than the mentioned Arabian, you should not have a problem.

.

May all your Trails be happy and safe ones
