15 inch Hereford saddle for sale $300

This saddle is an older Hereford brand work saddle, has a suede seat that is in really good shape, all conchos are there, and has a rear cinch. 15 inch seat, full quarter horse bars. Measures 7 inches across the gullet. Does not come with girth or pad. Is fairly light weight for its age (back then most saddles weighed a ton).

Only selling this saddle because the seat is too small for me. May trade for a 16 inch FQHBs saddle of similar quality. Will not trade for synthetic.

$300 + shipping. Shipping will be via parcel post and should cost around $30 to most places in the US. International shipping not available, sorry. I accept paypal, checks, and post office money orders. I will not ship before the check or money order clears my bank, which can take up to 10 days.

They do look kind of weird, but they really help hold you in the saddle!

nice saddle

This is a nice looking saddle - if only it had Semi-Quarter Horse Bars! The mustangs I ride don't fit Full QHB very well.

Is the fleecing in good shape? And how much do you think it weighs?

I am not sure how much it weighs, but its pretty light for a leather western saddle. The fleeces is in really good shape.

Nice looking saddle QHD, love the old Hereford's. If I were in the market for another, I'd definitely snatch it up. Would be great for colt starting!

Okay so a couple of people have looked at this saddle and are saying they think its actually semi quarter horse bars. I have it on consignment and apparently the tag they put on it says its regular qh bars. What's the difference between regular and full? And how do I tell if its semi? I don't want to mislead anybody.

Usually...And I say usually because every brand of saddle could have different meanings of what FULL QH bars are as opposed to semi and regular.

So, Usually...

Full QH - 7"
Regular QH - 6-1/2"
Semi QH - 6"

And yes...That 1/2" can make all the difference between a great, trustworthy horse and your butt in the dirt.
