Default 17.5 inch wide tree collegiate saddle (used)

This saddle is a 17.5 inch wide tree collegiate that has been very well taken care of, has normal wear from being used four times a week for schooling but was kept covered when not in use. I am not sure what the exact model is but the people up at my local tack store were calling it a senior event. It is a super comfy saddle and is great for flat and jump work and I really hate selling it but it doesn't fit my current horse. Comes with matching stirrup leathers, irons, and girth. Asking $500 obo or would consider trade for medium/regular tree collegiate or partial trade for wintec. Shipping for this item will be around 40 dollars and I do accept paypal.

Here are some pictures, I noticed that there are a few new "scuffs" on it from sitting at the tack store, but I am going to oil it good and hope they come out.

The girth that comes with it

48 inch girth

Are you open to offers? I don't want to low ball you or anything. I am really in need of a saddle for my gelding. He needs a wide tree and I want something of good quality. SO this sounds like it might be the one :) I'm going to a local tack store on Monday to see what they have. So if you want PM me and we can talk dollars if I don't find anything.

I would consider offers, but my mom actually bought my this saddle and still kinda considers it "hers" so she is the one calling the shots on any offers. She is currently in Isreal until the 14th, but if you want to make an offer I will let her know as soon as she gets back.

This saddle is back up for sale since I guess the lady decided she didn't want it after all.

I might be interested in it but I have to figure out how to measure my mare for a english saddle. I know she is a very wide/stocky mare (APHA) and I'm pretty sure she needs a wide tree. My biggest concern is I was kinda wanting to go through a store or something so I can do trial with it to make sure it fits. but it is a very nice saddle!

If you are at a boarding barn ask around and see if it is okay to try other people's saddles on to see what fits and what doesn't. That's what I did with all of my horses and it's so much easier than dragging a bunch of saddles home from the tack store, plus you can go in with some idea of what you need.

Good thinking :) I will do that. Problem is i'm usually the only one at the barn by the time I get there but hopefully I can find someone to help me out! If I can get that done in a few days and the saddles not sold i'll contact you :)

A couple key points (and Im no expert) is to make sure you can comfortaly moved your hand down the side of the saddle and that there are three fingers between the wither and the bottom of the cantle. Also make sure you can see all the way down the spine and that it doesn't rock back and forth.

Thanks for the pointers! I actually have to buy a new western saddle as well :( it used to fit her when she was a 3 y/o LOL but now since she is full grown and very wide I need to buy a new one! Go figure!
