6 yr old TWH gelding for free lease/sale

Rogan is a 6yr old TWH gelding located in southern indiana and available for free lease or possible free sale to the right home.

Well started under saddle with a solid walk trot/gait and canter.
Will either gait or trot depending on what button you push.
Also drives well.

Would be excellent for a confident beginner and above and I would be willing to throw in free training and riding lessons aswell and farrier service with his lease.

would definitely consider a long distance lease as long as you are comfortable staying in communication via phone or email, I would like to recieve photos of his condition at least twice a month if possible.

Ill be honest and say that Rogan has had about three months off from serious riding work but during that period I have been ground driving for 3-5 miles twice a week.

He is usually quick to come back into work and is an easy keeper.

I have some photos of him being ridden and lunged last fall including some photos of our trip through the Circle K drive thru, he is road safe and while not 100% spook proof (what horse is lol) he tends to freeze and give things a good hard look rather than spook and run.

The photo of him in the red bridle with the buckskin horse was his first time out on the road and only his 10th ride total and he handled mail trucks and 4 wheelers without batting an eyelash.

I have tons more photos and would be happy to answer any questions that you have.

The only reason I am looking to lease/sell him is do to being diagnosed with stage 2 cervical cancer two months ago and my insurance has reached its limit, I can no longer afford the extra $175 a month for board right now.

If you would rather call my number is 812-866-3788 on the weekends and 812-493-2619 on weekdays.

Beautiful boy, EE. I'm sorry to hear of your trouble and I hope you can find the right home for him soon. I would take him if you were closer.

I'm not arguing with you, I'm just explaining why I'm right.

Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

It's not always what you say but what they hear.

May I ask where in Southern Indy? How tall is he? Do you have any pics of him at a gait?

If you can't place him by June and I can figure out hauling to Ohio I'll lease him until you can get back on your feet.

He's beautiful! It's a pity you are not close - number of people in my area are really big about TWHs. Good luck with him!

Thank you guys for the kind comments, these decisions are never easy and it only complicated matters when its your horsey soul mate...as cheesey as that sounds..

Joe I will keep your info and let you know, thank you so much for the offer.

OK I hope whatever happens it works out. There is enough grass out at the new place for four and I've only got two.

I am going to give this info to my cousin-in-law and her family. She has been looking for awhile for a horse for her and her family.
If you decided to give him away I know they would give him a loving home : )
I do not know if they would consider you too far away as we live in central PA but it is worth a shot.

Horses and children, I often think, have a lot of the good sense there is in the world.

Thanks you guys,
A woman is coming to look at him today and Im freaking out.

She sounds amazing and I have talked to the owner of the barn where she boards and he said she is a hell of a horse woman but Im still in a bit of shock that I might be losing my boy.
