Hey ya'll. I have a nice Australian saddle with the girth that I'd like to sell or trade. I'm not sure how to measure one of these suckers, so I posted a picture of where I measured and how much it was.
The actual room for sitting looks to be about 15 inches, while the area for the thighs looks to be about 14 to 15 inches. If you have any places you'd like measured or if you know how to measure the seat, I can do it for you if you give me instructions.
The leather is in very good condition -- I believe it's a seven or eight year old saddle and the maker's stamp says, "Kimberly Down Under series." The tooling is quite lovely -- I've got a picture for ya'll below. I've always admired the roses myself. :3
Also, it was made for a horse with higher withers -- I purchased it with my TWH three years ago, and he has high, narrow withers. I can measure wherever you'd like if you need exact measurements.
It came with a trail pocket pad, (see the pictures), but the poor thing has taken a beating. I can include it, but I've been told these dandy saddles can be ridden with a square/all purpose English pad or trail pad, if you don't already have an Australian saddle. The girth that comes with it is in good condition.
I'm asking $200 on it, (plus $45 for shipping) or I can trade for blankets, a barrel saddle, (I ride a 16" barrel saddle in most brands,) an English saddle, (18" will do fine for an all purpose or jumping saddle), or horse blankets. If you have two or three turnout blankets you don't need, we'll be happy to take them -- preferably 72" to a 76".
Offers will definitely be considered, and if you have something you'd like to trade, please give me some info and pictures! The reason we're selling is because both my friend and I can no longer ride in it. This saddle is a little too small for us.
(And yes, my saddle sits on my fourwheeler and my saddle pad sits on my lawnmower! XD)
