Buyers and traders use caution

I bought a bridle from AK1 for my horse. Actually it was a gift from my husband for my birthday. I bought this as I am getting into english riding and thought it was a very nice looking bridle. When I recieved it it did not fit my horse. I showed it to people and they said it was for a pony. I tried it on an arab..did not fit..tried it on a weshie and hackney cross...fit perfect. I let her know this and still she would not fix the issue. I took it into a consignment shop today to see if I could do a trade. Told them it retails for $115(AK1 told me this) and I bought it for $80. The lady then told me I was scammed and she showed me that it cost less than $50..it was $40 dollars.... AK1 told me it would fit a warmblood and she saw her friend try it on her horses yet somehow it never was on a horse.... Her friend must have warmbloods with welsh size heads Anyways,I am stuck with this bridle untill I lower down to nothing.

Beware as she is a scammer.

I hate when you interact with members on a daily basis and they still feel the need to take advantage. Shame ... I see ShutUpJoe is also dealing with the loss of a saddle.

Did you use paypal? If so file a dispute immediately. NOT as described. I don't play with my money ... I get very upset over not getting what I pay for and so if there is not a way to take paypal there is not a way for me to buy.

^^I know, I hate when I come to trust people's opinions on this forum and well-known members turn out to be like this. I thought Ak1 was an honest person, honestly. Oh well. Another person on here recently posted about finding out they paid good money for a cheap pony bridle when they were told it was a great quality warmblood-size bridle. People these days!!

I am in a similiar situation. Seller requested money order because of the fees that paypal uses. I paid for the saddle three months ago and never received it. She sent me a message three weeks ago saying she was shipping it. I still haven't gotten the saddle. I have e-mailed her, messaged her, put a comment on her webpage and even tried to call her without a reply.

Do not buy from MappleRidgeFarms.

100% Anti-Slaughter and PROUD of it!

So you have a name and address... you can bet I would be filing charges. Internet fraud is a felony.

Find the county she is in and see where you need to start. Call the district attorney and also see what you can do about filing online. Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) | Home
