I make and sell many different kinds of horsehair jewelry. Send me your horse's hair and let me make you a gorgeous and unique piece of jewelry! Visit my website at www.equineexpressionsjewelry.webs.com . Here are a few pieces that I've created. I have many, many other styles available, which can be viewed on my website. In addition to the different styles of necklaces, bracelelets and key chains, I also make several different styles of earrings and hair barrettes.

I have some hair from one of my horses that passed away a year or so ago.. we saved some of his hair to make something out of it but haven't figured out anything yet.. If i sent it to you could you by any chance make up a small charm or something that we can hang on a necklace? How much would you charge? Just trying to brainstorm ideas. Thanks:)

I haven't even put this on my website yet, but I'm now offering a new, more affordable line of jewelry made with silver or gold plated hardware, in addition to the line made with sterling silver or gold filled hardware. You'll get the same high quality workmanship with a more affordable price.

I'm definitely still offering the sterling silver or gold-filled jewelry as well, but I know a lot of people want to have something made, but can't afford the prices of the precious metals right now. This new line of jewelry gives them another option!

Bracelets finished with silver or gold plated hardware start at $25 and necklaces start at $35. Prices do not include postage (which is usually $5 for priority mail).

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to pm or email me!

Here's another commission set I just finished. The earrings are extremely delicate--there are only 20 individual hairs in each earring! They are braided in a four strand style to match the bracelet.

Here's another bracelet I finished up recently. :) It's a seven-strand herringbone braid with silver tone endcaps and clasp, approximately 7 1/2".

The majority of the jewelry I've posted here is for sale, so if you're interested, drop me a pm. Or, if you see a style of jewelry you like and want to use your own horse's hair, I can definitely do that too! :)

Although I'm not looking to buy right now, I just want to say you're very good at these! Maybe more around the fourth of july when I'm getting my costumes around. A horsehair necklace would look so cool with my outfit ^^

I am SO going to order one of those bracelets one of these days. Hopefully by the end of the summer when I become rich. Haha
Do you think a bracelet would be sturdy enough for everyday wear? Also, if I were to get a name plate (like the kind you put on leather halters, the rectangular kind), that says my horse's name, and sent it to you with her hair, could you work that in and make it look spiffy?

Wow, thanks everyone!

Wallaby--yes, my bracelets are definitely sturdy enough for everyday wear. I have several that I've made for myself and I wear one just about every day. I wear them to work, to the barn, while cleaning stalls, even while I shower. I've never had one fray or come apart--they are super tough. Once in a while, the sterling silver or the hair will need cleaning, but those are easily done, then the bracelet looks as good as new again. One thing I wouldn't recommend is wearing any of my jewelry in a chlorinated pool as the chlorine plays havoc with the metals. :) And yes, I could easily work in some sort of name plate, as long as it wasn't too large.

Equiniphile--a double braid is just two single braids put together and glued into the same end cap, giving it the look of a much more complicated braid. :)

SorrelHorse--Horsehair jewelry would look great with certain kinds of costumes, especially Medieval!

I'll definitely be here if any of you decide to have something made!:)

Here's a great new creation from Equine Expressions! They could be key chains, zipper pulls, bridle decorations--whatever you want to use them for! What's great about them is that they can be made from mane or tail hair and it can be short! I need only about 5 or 6 inches of hair for these. :) Any color or combination of bead colors can be used. Cost is $10, plus postage.
