Here's another bracelet I finished up recently. It's a seven-strand herringbone braid with silver tone endcaps and clasp, approximately 7 1/2".

The majority of the jewelry I've posted here is for sale, so if you're interested, drop me a pm. Or, if you see a style of jewelry you like and want to use your own horse's hair, I can definitely do that too!

Here are a couple more. The first one is a commission, and the second one is a sales piece.

Although I'm not looking to buy right now, I just want to say you're very good at these! Maybe more around the fourth of july when I'm getting my costumes around. A horsehair necklace would look so cool with my outfit ^^

Pssh.I didn't pick up the wrong lead
It's called a counter canter...
...A very advanced maneuver.

I am SO going to order one of those bracelets one of these days. Hopefully by the end of the summer when I become rich. Haha
Do you think a bracelet would be sturdy enough for everyday wear? Also, if I were to get a name plate (like the kind you put on leather halters, the rectangular kind), that says my horse's name, and sent it to you with her hair, could you work that in and make it look spiffy?

Wow, thanks everyone!

Wallaby--yes, my bracelets are definitely sturdy enough for everyday wear. I have several that I've made for myself and I wear one just about every day. I wear them to work, to the barn, while cleaning stalls, even while I shower. I've never had one fray or come apart--they are super tough. Once in a while, the sterling silver or the hair will need cleaning, but those are easily done, then the bracelet looks as good as new again. One thing I wouldn't recommend is wearing any of my jewelry in a chlorinated pool as the chlorine plays havoc with the metals. And yes, I could easily work in some sort of name plate, as long as it wasn't too large.

Equiniphile--a double braid is just two single braids put together and glued into the same end cap, giving it the look of a much more complicated braid.

SorrelHorse--Horsehair jewelry would look great with certain kinds of costumes, especially Medieval!

I'll definitely be here if any of you decide to have something made!
