Wow, thanks everyone!
Wallaby--yes, my bracelets are definitely sturdy enough for everyday wear. I have several that I've made for myself and I wear one just about every day. I wear them to work, to the barn, while cleaning stalls, even while I shower. I've never had one fray or come apart--they are super tough. Once in a while, the sterling silver or the hair will need cleaning, but those are easily done, then the bracelet looks as good as new again. One thing I wouldn't recommend is wearing any of my jewelry in a chlorinated pool as the chlorine plays havoc with the metals.
And yes, I could easily work in some sort of name plate, as long as it wasn't too large.
Equiniphile--a double braid is just two single braids put together and glued into the same end cap, giving it the look of a much more complicated braid.
SorrelHorse--Horsehair jewelry would look great with certain kinds of costumes, especially Medieval!
I'll definitely be here if any of you decide to have something made!
