Custom made 17" Western Saddle

Southern Trails had this saddle made for me. Going price is currently ~$2,300 with the extra things I had done to it. I have to give up horses due to health and the saddle has to go. It is in 100% perfect condition and comes with a mohair 30" Smart Cinch.

The tree was custom made to a 17", the cantle is a 5" straight up, the tooling was designed my me. There are a ton of other things that I had built in. It is an A fork tree and will fit a wide variety of horses. I used it primarily on my 1200lb, 15h Paint mare and my 15.1h 1000lb gaited horse with no problems.

I'm asking $1,100.

You know how everyone always says to get a good used saddle instead of a cheap new one? Well, this is one of those opportunities. That would make someone an awesome saddle (drool, drool) at a very fair price. No new saddle in the $1100 price range is going to come close to that, imo.

Is that the condition of the saddle as it sits right now? Because it doesn't even look like it's been on a horse in these photos.

I, too, am sorry to hear that you can't enjoy this yourself. It's a beautiful saddle and a screaming deal for someone, though.

Thank you for the thoughts, guys. I've sold the horses and now the tack has to go. That is the condition of the saddle right now - I'm pretty careful about my gear.

Gorgeous saddle and that is an absolute steal at that price!

Ohh..I think I should've saved out of my last 3 paychecks instead of buy other things..lol.
This is exactly what I'm looking for (albeit not black)..too bad. Maybe I'll save and hope you still have it, lol.
