Something you also might consider is contacting a Dachshund rescue, and asking them if they might be able to cross post his information and pictures up on their website/ petfinder.

I'd SO take him if I didn't already have 3 big dogs and 4 little kids. He looks like a sweetheart. Make sure you screen whoever takes him. I'd recommend a small adoption fee. Giving a dog away for free can sometimes lead to big problems for the dog later.

Ugh I have such a soft spot for dachshunds. If only I didn't live in an apartment in LA...:(

I'd definitely let him get fixed by the vet!

Aww if I wasn't so far away I'd take him. I have a mini now and love the breed...Hmm Wonder what it would cost to ship him...Ok anyone coming from OH to MD....
