Lightly used 17.5" Wintec Pro Dressage saddle OR 97217

The Wintec Pro is a beautiful saddle with CAIR panels, changeable gullet, and made of a sueded synthetic for extra grip. It is very well made and smartly designed. This saddle is in really good condition, with just a few minor signs of wear. There are a couple of marks on the seat and on the right side near where the stirrup leather attaches (all are visible in the pictures). This saddle is incredibly easy to clean with a sponge and water, and the leather has been conditioned, so it will arrive ready for you to hit the arena! It has the medium gullet installed, and comes with medium-wide and extra-wide gullets as well. Also included will be some extra screws for if you need to change out the gullet (which looks daunting but is incredibly easy), instructions for changing the gullet and a warranty card. I bought it used from someone who told me it had spent most of its life in the tack room. I had it in my car when I went to the local tack store for a wider gullet and the shop owner seemed to think it was in great condition. I've used it maybe 15 times and am sad to part ways with it. Comes with stirrup leathers and irons, but you will have to supply the girth. $550 + shipping, local meet up preferred. We can meet in the Portland Metro area or at my barn in Gresham/Damascus.

Good luck. I'm trying to sell mine for over a year on the east coast, it's the exact same thing. EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE and low maintenance. Can't understand why it's not selling.

Because good used leather saddles are selling for $500.00 or less. I bought a 17.5" Stubben Siegfried for $450.00 last summer, with shipping included.

If I'm going to pay over $500.00 for something, you can bet I'll take a well made used leather saddle over a used synthetic one.

It needs to be priced according to the market, not what you believe it's worth. At $550.00 plus the cost of shipping, that Wintec isn't a bargain.

Synthetic saddles are appealing for a number of reasons: easy to clean, easy to care for, and nobody died for their hide so it is perfect for vegetarians and vegans alike. I must say that the ease of caring for this saddle has spoiled me and I am not planning on ever buying a leather saddle again. Why would I want to sit on slippery leather that is a total pain in the rear to clean and condition, when I can ride in a synthetic saddle that is made of grippy suede and just takes a moment to wipe the dust off?

I am pretty sure that these saddles aren't selling because saddles in general aren't selling quickly due to the economy. Besides, I'm primarily trying to sell to someone local as I don't want to deal with shipping. I made that pretty clear in the ad. Anyway, thanks for reminding me that I posted it up here as I've dropped the price by $25 as of last week. Also, there were two other saddle packages of this exact size and model posted in my area on craigslist. The one listed for $500 seems to have sold as it is no longer listed, so this saddle package, which includes 2 extra gullets, leathers, and irons seems to be priced in the correct range.

Your USED Wintec isn't worth $550.00 plus shipping. Wintecs simply don't hold their value, regardless of how well someone likes them. Synthetics never do.

I happen to have a Wintec 2000 AP that I adore. I paid over $800.00 for it new, but if I were to sell it I'd advertise it at no more than $300.00 and include the shipping in that price, because I know synthetics don't hold their value. Mine is in pristine condition and looks almost new. I've had Wintecs for close on 20 years so I'm in a better position to know what does and doesn't sell, and for what prices.

Um....Speed Racer....I have dealt with a lot of business in the OPs area and other Oregon areas including my own. Wintec saddles all over this state have been selling for that exact same price. Plus, if you don't like the price, you don't have to buy it from her.

Actually, if the OP decided to stick around, I might talk about buying that saddle myself.
