Saddle, bridle, half pad, bits...need to sell! (USA)

I've been thinking on this for several weeks now, and I finally made the choice today. I am selling my bridle and saddle, to put the money towards buying a new set.

I totally love my saddle, but it's really just not what I need right now. It's about 1/2 inch to an inch too small for me, and also it's a close contact and ideally I want an all purpose, because I do dressage primarily, but my trainer has wanted me to start jumping in the fall since the association we show in does a lot of combined training, not just dressage.

So...needs to go, as well as my bridle, which is brown, and I intend to buy a black saddle next so it won't match. And the other stuff is just stuff I need to be rid of because I don't use it anymore.

Saddle is well worn in, but in very nice condition. Leather is soft and supple. It is a Crosby, older model, not sure exactly which though, close contact. Two tone...the flaps are almost a havana color, and the seat is almost a tan or oak color. Very attractive. Seat is 16.5in.

Has 48 inch leathers (I have short legs). I will gladly include leathers and irons for an extra fee, so that I will be able to replace them for use my new saddle...

Asking $350 without leathers/irons, $400 with.

Bridle is cob size, dark brown, Wintec plain raised bridle with removable flash band. I have only used it lightly about 6 months. In almost perfect condition. I have matching web reins to go along with it, although they are not wintec. Slightly more worn than the bridle, but still in excellent condition. Not stiff, still very soft and supple.

Asking $60

This pad is white, and not as thick as a traditional half pad but still adds a bit of extra padding without too much bulk. Just washed it with anti-bacterial horse blanket/wrap wash, so it's well sanitized. Has a couple of small stains (as expected with anything white around horses, sadly) but is under where the saddle will be placed.

Asking $10

I've finally forced myself to get rid of some of my bits...

~Snaffle D stainless steel with copper rollers, 5"
~Snaffle D, regular stainless steel jointed, 5"
~Snaffle loose ring, regular stainless steel jointed, 5"

I think that's everything I need to sell for now. I *may* be open to trades for the bits, but for the saddle I would rather have cash so I can make sure I get a saddle fitted for my boy.

I may trade any of the bit or bits for:

-Polo wraps (white, purple or pink only)
-Side reins
-Lunge line
-Fleece tubes for halters

I will ship however buyer in question requests. Smaller items I will ship outside the US, but the saddle I would prefer to only ship to US and Canada.

Shoot, forgot to add tree size - sorry. It's been a long day, obviously. It's a medium tree, with a narrow twist. It fit my previous horse, a 16.2hh Hanoverian fine (albeit he was a thinner-bodied horse), and it has fit my 14.1hh grade pony fine.

I'm interested in one of your bits.
Could you take a look at my sale/trade list and get back to me? I'm broke as a joke and would only be able to do a trade.
I have lilac colored polos that I would trade. They have never been used. I can also give you halter tubes.
Im interested in
~Snaffle D stainless steel with copper rollers, 5"
~Snaffle D, regular stainless steel jointed, 5"
Would that be okay?

Oh sure, I'll definitely trade for those. :) Feel free to send me a PM and we can work out details and such.

The O-ring snaffle is gone! Also I have a pair of size 9 1/2 wide calf dress boots. I will get pictures and measurements for those later.

Finally, pictures!

Bridle (bit not included)

English dress boots size 9 1/2 B - These have been custom altered by a professional with a piece of elastic in the back, pictured, for easier on off. Excellent condition, would be excellent for anyone with a wider calf. Asking $70 or best offer for them.

I WANT THOSE BOOTS SO BAD!! What are the calf measurements? What brand?
    06-13-2010, 03:07 PM
What is the brand of your half pad and how long/ how much have you been using it?
And why do you say it is not as thick as usual? Is it a different model or it wasnt suppose to come out like this?

How much to ship to florida?

Thanks for your time !!

I am fairly certain the calf measures around 15 inches - I will have to check when I get home later tonight - I'm at my boyfriend's at the moment and I'm about to head out to the barn. As for the brand, I am not sure. They are not a big name brand I don't believe, but they are nice boots. I do know they are made in the USA. I will look for the brand when I get home. I bought them used for $70 and I never used them myself, even after spending to get the elastic inserts, as my calves are just kind of weird to fit a boot to! LOL!

I am not sure what brand the half pad is, I cannot find it on the site I purchased it from, and there is no tag label. I will say I'm fairly certain it's not anything super-high dollar. I bought it originally for a horse who need a pad without a ton of fluff so I could be closer to his back, but still would give him the extra protection his back needed. It's just not as thick and plushy as some of the more expensive pads, just a thinner line I suppose, is what I mean, but don't get me wrong, it's a nice pad and it still adds plenty of padding! Oh, and I really have only used it a few times. The horse I bought it for I had to give up the lease due to major problems with the owner and how he kept his horses...then, I used it a few times while I was still just taking lessons on my current horse. Usually I used my trainer's though. It pretty much stayed safe in my tack box. This spring I started using it at shows, just for the nice look, as I use the Wintec comfort pad for just schooling, but it's just a piece of foam of course, LOL, so it doesn't look very nice sticking out from under a saddle in the show ring. I'm not sure how much shipping will be, I imagine only a few dollars at most! I will get it calculated and post it for you when I get home tonight - or call and ask my mother. She does ebay and such so she know shipping rates for stuff right off the top of her head!
