Saddles and Saddles and Saddles

Alright, so I have sadly grown out of my old saddle :( Such a shame because I love it so much. Anyway, I'm looking to sell this one and get a new saddle.
First of all, I would like to know how much I should ask for my saddle.

It is a close contact 15" Henri De Rivel english saddle. 15 3/4" flap, 3.5 fit with short billets. It is used and broken in, but still in MINT condition. I'll post pics when I find my SD card!

Also, I would like to hear someone's opinion on this potential buy:
Saddles Tack Horse Supplies - ChickSaddlery.com Kincade Close Contact Saddle

Thanks!

He carried me away from all my fears, and his mane was there to wipe my tears. -RIP Vegas, my best friend.

In the case of Kincade saddles, you get what you pay for. I like their bridles okay, but I wouldn't buy a saddle from them.

Oh okay. Well I'm trying to find my SD card with the pictures so I can post them up. But I'm not looking to spend over $350-$400 because I think my saddle might be worth about $375, more or less.

i'd look for a quality used saddle in your price range then. you'd be much better off imo.

I am already shopping around for used saddles. In my area, there are not many though. that's why I saw this one at chicks saddlery.
I'll probably post a few more from craigslist and get your opinions on those.

i'm a collegiate fan - especially the older models as, imo, the leather and construction are far nicer than the new(er) ones. however, i prefer wool flocked panels instead of foam and most of those are going to be foam. that's just me though.

You can also try HorseClicks. They have quite a few well made used leather saddles for sale on there.

I got a used Stubben from someone on CL, but a friend sent me the ad as the seller wasn't in my area. I'm in VA and the person advertising was in NY.

Got my Siegfried for about 1/3 of what they sell new. Sure, it's at least 20 y/o, but it's a beautiful saddle and should last me just about forever.

I prefer wool flocking over foam, as foam breaks down after so many years.

Try ebay! I just got a used pessoa(new 1700) for a STEAL at 675!! you could probably get 300 to 400 for yours easily. It is in good condition. My old saddle was an HDR Advantage and I Loved it! I personally dont like the Kincades. I would get with another hdr before I even thought about a kincade.
I also perfer to buy used saddles that are already broke in. You can find some great used saddles for amazing prices on ebay. Ricks Heritage tack shop has great used saddles too. www.saddlesource.com

and a link for an HDR on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/HDR-Advantage-Cl...item4840aa18f9
