Nifty little vintage fixer upper saddle. It is safe, and usable as is, but it needs some cosmetic work. Fleece is bad/gone, leather horn need work, and stitching around back of skirt. Pics of everything in album. We have used it for the kids, and it works just fine with a good pad
14" seat, 6 1'2" gullet Asking $150 obo including shipping.

Semi bars, 6 1/2" gullet

Nice tooling, wooden stirrups

Nice wide swells, high cantle. Stitching around skirt needs done.

Fleece is bad

Old lace up leathers

Good rigging. Brass hardware

Under side of double ply stitched leather. Leather very supple.

Nice vintage saddle. Unsure of brand, but I have several people that think it might be a Bona Alan. 16" seat at stitching, about 15 1/2" at padding
Asking $325 free shipping.

Great quality saddle, thick tooled leather. Nice details.

6 1/2" gullet, 12" at bars. I believe it is a semi bar.

Comes with off billits, tie straps, cinch, and back cinch. If you dont want a fleece cinch, I will put a strign cinch on it.

Tooling detail

Only thing wrong with the saddle is someone put extra hole and the couldn't get buckle undon, so they cut the side of the leathers. Rode in it all summer like that, no cracking or tearing. As it is, it is still thicker, and wider than an english stirrup leather, or it could have a patch sewn over it

Fleece in good shape

Vintage roping saddle, 16" seat 7" gullet. Selling for my Father in law. Was told it was made in the 1950's. Lace up leathers have been replaced with blevins buckles.
Asking $400 with Free shipping.

VERY heavy well made old saddle with good thick leather. I believe rawhide wrapped wood tree. Tree is straight, and sits well on a horse

Unsure of what brand it is, but it is marked Colorado Saddlery (Denver Colorado) under the fender on the Leathers. So not sure if that is saddle brand, or just fenders?

Has crupper ring, and good saddle strings, as well as vintage, but useable back cinch.

Slick half tooled seat

Pretty tooling, dark oil. Rigging good. Stirrup leathers go very long. My husband is 6'2, long legs, and still has a couple holes left to lengthen them when he rode in it.

Fleece in fair condition. Has a coupld small bald spots. Should be fine as is if you use a good pad.

7" gullet

Do you think any of these would fit a fat appy who is very wide in the shoulders but also has a decent wither and a curvy back? Seems like every saddle I try on him is either now wide enough or it sits on his wither, or is way to straight for his back.

Rachel. The 3rd saddle I posted has the Wide gullet and FQHB, plus seems pretty high under the gullet, and had some rock in the bars.

I dont see anything that I need, and I am so gun shy on buying saddles online for my hard to fit mare anyway, but I do have an abetta saddle for sale if you are interested.
