How do you move your tack to shows and ensure it stays intact? Do you really need an all-together trunk, or do you carry your things separately?

I'm looking for 1 trunk/bag that would fit all of my things together (saddle, bridle, boots, studs, etc) -- any recommendations?

I got an awesome "tack trunk" from Home Depot (it's actually a giant tool box! I think several people on here have them!) It's bigger then most of the nasty cheapo plastic trunks you can get from expensive horse stores and only $70 or something! I absolutely love it. I could go on and on about how great it is. It makes packing for horse shows sooooo much easier then trying to throw everything into my car, even for 1 day shows. However.... the construction is almost 100% plastic. I've done about 10 weekend shows this year and about 4 or 5 weeks of away shows and the hinges are started to wear a bit. Not a big problem, but you just have to make sure the lid is properly aligned before you latch it shut. I'm a HUGE fan!
