Talking Tackaholic's Rehab...aka Huge Sale List

I have a whole whack of stuff I don't need and it's time to get it sold. Prices are negotiable!!

Shipping is from Canada. Cost to the States is ok for light items ($7), not terrible for medium, but kind of gets killed on the heavy stuff. Sorry

Prices are USD though...that's what I turn around and spend it in anyway no need to pay PayPal to do the currency change.

PayPal preferred, can do money orders too.

15.5" Vintage Western Buckstitched Saddle Has no maker mark but isn't a total hunk o junk. Built on a rawhide covered wood tree (which is solid). Beautiful deep tooling, and comfy padded suede seat. This is in really great condition, except for the stirrups (the leather covering is coming off, though I think the innner wood structure is ok). I believe it is on semi bars, 6.5 or 6.75" gullet (I will add measurement photos this weekend). Long saddle...around 28" $300

15" Vintage Bighorn Leather Saddle
Dark oil, Full QH bars. Good condition, solid tree. $300

15" Vintage Saddle Maybe a Bona Allen, but I can't guarantee that - I can guarantee it is good quality. I believe it is from the 1950s. Narrow fitting saddle (gullet just shy of 6") great for shark fin types, or those that don't have enough topline to fit in a more typical saddle (this was what I used it for, though now that he is gaining weight and muscle, he's outgrowing it). Heavy, solid, very well make saddle.

84" Masta Jersey Knit Sheet
Like a big comfy sweatshirt for your horse! Would be a perfect blanket liner, or for trailering or the stall (has crossed belly strap and tail cord). $30 ($25 shipping)

100% Wool quarter sheet, pony size (48" L X 60" W) Striped. It's the style to go under the saddle, complete with girth loops. *pic coming soon*

These are older but useable.

There is a single elastic tri-fold 48", schooling condition $7

And a non-elastic havana 50" with slots for an eventing breastplate. $5

None of these are maker marked but they are all very nice quality...they came in a box of high end h/j tack (Edgewood, Mikmar, etc). I kept the some myself but these colors don't match my bridles.

#1 Beautiful 5/8" black reins. Look barely used, although some stitching is loose at the start of one of the laces...quick fix though. $25

#2 1/2" brown
(not really dark, and with slightly lighter - newmarket maybe? - lacing) Great condition. $20

#3 5/8" very dark brown Butter soft, great condition. $30

All horse sized and havana

#1 Really beautiful leather, well made. All hardware is great. $40

#2 Good leather but not quite as nice as the best two. Looks like it saw very little use, if any. The only problem is the buckles are a bit corroded. However, they still work, and if you are only using it on one horse, you don't need to open them regularly after it is adjusted anyway. $25

Gorgeous havana figure 8 noseband.
Great condition (barely used if at all). Does have a couple of extra holes punched but they were done well. This is flat leather so it's easy to fit to lots of head sizes. Wonderful quality leather. $22

Havana Standing Attachment. Good condition, no problems. $5.

Havana raised noseband. Very well used but still has some life in it. Surface cracks over the nose, but the buckled places are good still. $4

Pony Browband. Havana, never used. Very nice contrast stitching. $8

Horse Padded Browband Lightly used $5

Equus Rubber Rein Replacements. Brown, soft, and great condition. (I think they are for a 5/8" rein) $5

Nylon Weanling Halter
Faded blue, made by Valhoma. Safe, useable condition. $5

H. Sprenger Rubber Bell Boots, XL Really thick yet soft rubber. These are brand new with tags (reading $25). $12

Lunge line with chain. Light weight webbing with very nice brass chain. $7

Rear SMB Elites Medium Royal Blue. Used twice in the arena. Made by Pro Choice, and IMO the Elites are a big step up from the previous models in fit (provided you get the right size...sigh) $50

Rope Halter with 10' Lead Burgundy halter with burgundy, navy, and gold lead. Made by Pro Choice, brand new with tags. It's a decent quality halter, but the lead is just like a regular lead rope, not yacht rope or anything. Still a great choice to use for everyday, especially if you like a longer lead. $12

Pro Choice No Turn Bell Boots - Black, Large. Bit of a tear on the bottom of one but good condition otherwise. *pics to come* $10

4.75" French Link Loose Ring
- Made by Dublin, brand new with tags. $20

Oi...how embarassing I have too much stuff and it wouldn't let me put it all in one post!

Dublin Hipsta Pull-On Breeches - Size Girls L/Ladies small/24-26??? Measurements lying flat: waist unstretched 12.5", stretched 15-16", rise 9", inseam 24". Pretty grey color (also hides dirt), slick material sheds shavings, hair, etc, and attractive enough to wear after your ride without looking like a fool. Comfy wide waistband and grip elastic at the ankles. New. $20.

Ladies Belt - Approx size 28 (adjusts from 27"-32"), Western buckle. $5

Tailored Sportsman Hunt Coat - Size 10L (jacket sizing, i believe about a size 6 in street sizing). Gorgeous brown (more olivey than chocolatey) with pinstripe, and a dark crimson lining. 100% wool, incredible quality. Brand new with tags!! Unfortunately it's suffered some shop wear and now has a fade mark on one shoulder and a bit down the arm (it's hard to photograph, some make it look worse, some better). I would leave it up to the buyer to decide whether to try to fix it or show as is. In any case it would be a great way to get a very high quality coat for just starting out in showing, or for a rainy day coat. $40 (retail is $400 range)

Vintage Plaid Shirt - Ladies Medium Very cute blue plaid with white piping, pearl snaps. This is a light flannel material, so it would be perfect for those who barrel race in winter and still need to wear a shirt. $5

Synthetic Chaps - About a ladies medium. Camel color, with fringe. These aren't high quality, but they would serve well for some local shows or a "rainy show day" pair. $15 (need to find them for the pics and measurements)

Guide to English Riding - beginner level book covering the basics. $3

Western Horsemanship - by Richard Shrake. Older book covering preparation and skills to show in Horsemanship classes. $5

Starting Colts - by Mike Kevil. Step by step colt training book from halter breaking up to 60 days under saddle. $5

Perfect Horse Magazines - from John Lyons. 10 issues from 1998/99 (back when John did all the articles). These offer great training articles, "Ask John", horse care articles, and great product review comparisons (and no ads!) $1 each or all for $5

Designing Courses and Obstacles - Older paperback $4
