Tarpan's Cruelty-Free Horsehair Jewelry - Premade & Custom Work

ATTENTION : CURRENTLY ACCEPTING TRADES OF LIGHT COLORED HORSEHAIR IN EXCHANGE FOR CUSTOM WORK - PM ME FOR DETAILS

*****

Among other fun crafts, I make and sell horsehair jewelry on Etsy. Most of my hair has been gathered during my work in the animal welfare industry and only a small amount is taken from each horse. When applicable, I've included a bit about each horse that the hair was sourced from for each bracelet. Some of them have very interesting stories!

I donate $2.50 from each bracelet sale to Team Kareem. They are an animal welfare group dedicated to helping the pyramid horses, donkeys and camels of Cairo, Egypt.

***

I currently make bracelets in two styles - an 8 stranded braid and a chunkier 12 stranded braid.

Here are some examples of 8 stranded braided bracelets that I have made:

Here are some examples of the 12-stranded braided bracelets I have made in the past:

I also offer necklaces and necklace/bracelet sets in an 8-stranded braid:

And occasionally I offer horsehair tassels/shoo flys made out of the scraps of my braids. I think they're quite pretty!

***

My prices are as follows:

$17.00 - 8-stranded bracelet
$26.00 - 12-stranded bracelet

$23.00 - 8-stranded necklace
$30.00 - 12-stranded necklace

$40.00 - 8-stranded necklace/bracelet set
$56.00 - 12-stranded necklace/bracelet set

$3.00 - shoo-fly/tassel

I'd have to see a closeup photo of where you'd be cutting from. It looks good at the top of the tail but I recommend cutting from the base of the dock, behind the skirt so it doesn't affect the tail's appearance.

I can get pictures of the underside of the tail tomorrow morning :)

And this is the pony's tail that I had PM'ed you about - It was cut off below the bone so should be around 2-3 feet of hair.
