Thoroughbred saddlery dressage saddle, California $350.00

Please email for pics, having trouble posting pics, will email pics to you quickly! sorry for inconvience... :( but its very good looking no damage.
Just some normal rub marks, thats all, great condition.

Thoroughbred saddlery long billet dressage saddle. light brown. 17.5 inch seat, 5-3/4 inch gullet(according to my measurements..see pics), narrow spring tree. panels and bars are wide and laid flat at an angle in the front and more strait towards the back. made for high withered or a horse with a prominent spine. (such as a thoroughbred lol) Or an older horse. Made in Walsall England. Very rare as they are no longer made and haven't been for some time. Its probably around 20 or so years old. It is made exceptionally well and doesn't appear to need or ever have had any repairs done. The leather is very soft and supple and strong, well oiled and conditioned, some normal rubbing marks on the stirrup leather areas. billets have some normal wear but are still very strong , no need to repair or replace. Other wise completely sound and full of life. This saddle is very comfortable and very well balanced, i was super impressed with it the first time i tried it out, i had to drop my stirrups several holes down because i had been ridding in an unbalanced dressage saddle for so long that i was not aware that i was in the wrong position. I really just need another saddle that will fit my horse so i am open to trading for something of equal value and a larger tree, medium or medium wide. 17.5 or 18" seat. Or $350.00 somewhat Firm for it. Ive seen ones on the internet for sale for 500 that have had or need minor repairs, so i know what its worth but i really just need something that fits, not looking for money, but there are a few saddles i have in mind that the 350 will be enough for so if you are interested please contact me to work something out.

I had one of these and LOVED it. Wish they made them in a wide tree. Great saddles!

I have one of these! Exactly what you just described! I am trying to sell mine as well because it's too narrow for my new horse! I LOVE this saddle... I may cry when I sell it, LOL.

$400 with the expectation of a lower offer being made. I think $350 is very reasonable. My saddle is a little different looking; the seat is dark and so are the knee rolls, otherwise it looks to be the same saddle!

Where are you measuring the gullet? 5 3/4" - 6" would definately not be a narrow tree. Are there any stamps on the saddle indicating tree size? Could you take a picture of the front of the saddle with a tape measure from felt to felt under the pommel? I really like the saddle, but my boy is a med - med/wide. However, my close contact saddle has a 4 1/2 - 4 3/4 gullet. If you could get a picture of the back of the saddle, showing the gullet, that would be great too. About how many fingers can fit between the panels in the back?

I've spent most of my life riding horses. The rest I've just wasted.
