I remember the first set up I had. I had an 88 old ford crew cab flat deck and and old rusted out stock trailer goose neck! To be honest I think I liked that set up better than what I have now. Im not doing as much showing and travelling now as much as I was before...so I went and got myself a new aluminum featherlight! I love it so much! My F350 Diesel has no problem at all! The only thing I had to do was flip the axle on the trailer becuase my truck has a 6" lift in it. So the horses have a bit of a jump to get it but none of them mind at all. But I do LOVE having a goose neck with a flat deck! So easy to turn around and move around and all that jazz. Also I woudl recomend practicing backing up with the truck and trailer LOTS before you venture out on the road. You never know were you are going to need to turn around or back up and it gets frustrating when you got horses in the trailer. I came from a long line of logging truck drivers so I learned early how to back up a truck and trailer! But I am very confident with driving with a trailer behind me now!
