Used County Dressage Saddle

Well used 16.5" medium spring tree (#3 fit), wool flocked, brown County dressage saddle for sale. Older saddle, made in England! County makes great saddles, most of which I see selling used in the $1000-$2000 range. There is cracking and a tear in the seat (pictured) along with some less significant cracks elsewhere and other signs of wear. Because of this I'm selling it for $200 plus shipping- includes saddle with original black County cover, 48" matching stirrup leathers, and peacock stirrup irons. Pad pictured is not included. Would be great for someone wanting to get started in dressage with a quality saddle and low budget, or as a beater/trail saddle!

And, of course, photos!

I can't read everything stamped under the flap, but it does say County, made in England, spring tree, 16 1/2, no 3 Fit.

Message me if interested! It's hard to get a quality dressage saddle for a low price, used or otherwise!

Bump!...

Also, I think that I found out that no 3 fit actually corresponds to a medium wide. For some reason I cannot edit the original post to reflect this.

I know... I so wish that it fit my horse, but I can't justify moving to a more poorly fitting saddle just so I'll be happier :P Would love to pass its joy on to someone else!

Duck, if you are not already on the FB group "English Tack Traders," you should join. I bet you would get rid of this in a day.

I have this same saddle in black, and absolutely love it (though really my butt probably needs a 17 instead of the 16.5). It fits my mare great, is easy for the saddle fitter to rejuvenate, and is just super comfortable to ride in. I keep my eyes peeled for an older 17" because I'd buy it in a heartbeat if it was selling at the price you're listing for this one.

Good luck!

Lol, I actually bought it from a lady on there within an hour of her posting it :P I kind of have selfish reasons for not posting it on there... I have a very nosy parents' friend that is also a member on some of those sites for their daughter that rides a bit, as a friend on facebook. My parents are the type that hate having "unnecessary" items around the house, and think that having more than one saddle is unnecessary, even if they're just sitting in my extra bedroom's closet. Last time I posted a saddle or two on a facebook group this person felt the need to go report to my parents that I had them, and they were more than a little irritating about it.

I actually just posted it on a different group, though. I'd rather not give this person the satisfaction of creating "family drama" :P
