wanted: simco or similar brand western saddle

I know Simco fits my mare, but I may consider other brands of quality older western saddles. MUST have an 7.5 or 8 inch gullet, and would prefer to see more of a u-shaped gullet than a-frame. My mare has HUGE shoulders. I need a 16 inch seat, would prefer square skirted, but will consider round as well. Just looking for something to school in and trail ride. Budget is around $300, can't go much over that.

My BO just bought a older Lamb saddle at an auction with a 7.5 inch gullet and 16 inch seat in great condition. I went out to feed earlier to take a pic of it, and he was riding in it and going on about how comfy.it is. Me and him buy saddles all the time and use them for a.while then sell them, but I'm not sure.if I can get his butt out of this one! All my saddles I have.for sale are all 7 inches, but ill look at his and see what else he has.

Lamb saddles are really nice. I doubt it would be in my price range. Let me know if you find anything.

An FYI - the newer Simcos do not fit like the older ones. I have one that is 13 years old. Awesome saddle. One of my boarders loves it (I won't sell) so tried a newer one. Nothing like mine.

Well the good news is that I can't afford any of the newer ones right now. However, that seems true for all saddles, they just aren't made like they use to be.
