I have an idea of who it might be. I'm working with a few of the people who have been mutually scammed and we're going to see if we can match up some info and see if it's the same person on both sites. Hopefully it's an isolated incident and we can all get back to selling stuff.

    I def agree.
I am also trying to sell tack, I have summer child care to pay but honesty is by far the best policy. That def. Makes it hard for others to sell
I hope everything gets worked out!

I too got scammed, but by someone on this forum. They sold me an australian endurance saddle that was supposed to include irons, leathers, and a girth. Needless to say, after many countless pm's I still don't have them, and the seller hasnt been back in over a month. I know there are many honest people out there, but it is people like this person who didnt send what was promised who make me very leery about buying stuff.

I just hope the original scammer this post was written about gets caught. That way no one else gets duped.

I have no idea who this person is, but just wanted to warn everyone to be very careful about sending money to people who might not be on the level. Wow. That's messed up!! I just read another post about someone else who apparently keeps ripping people off.

For the record, I'm selling a saddle, but I've got references! I'm a local trainer in Calif and I can't afford to rip anybody off.

I hate hearing about rip offs because it just makes everybody leary about everybody else, and that's just no fair for those of us wanting to sell legit.

Wish there was a way to cull out the losers.

We just banned the user justsambam08 from the Horse Forum for taking advantage of several members in our classified area. Something about SamanthaB and justsambam08 sound similar to me. Hopefully the fact that she's been banned from both here and there will mean she'll have a more difficult time taking advantage of anyone in the future.

Speaking of which, we have added feedback functionality to our classified area so that members can leave feedback about their transactions with other members and you can see the feedback members have received, how many trades members have been a party to, etc., before choosing to deal with them. This will help ensure that you only deal with reputable members, and help us determine which members can't hold up their end of a bargain and therefore shouldn't have access to the classified area or to the Horse Forum at all.

With the addition of this feedback mechanism, you should be able to buy, sell, and trade at the Horse Forum with confidence.

Wow! That's all I can say. The very reason I really hate to buy on forums, eBay (I was ripped off once really bad), tacktrader, etc. You just never know and it really hurts (and not just money-wise).

I had a very pleasant experience buying here from Nutty and Ike (although I've seen feedback on their product before I ordered the tack). But my selling experience here was very bad: the buyer was great, but the thick bubble package I sent was clearly hand-opened and tack disappeared, so the buyer just got an ripped empty package with the post office stamp "damaged". I felt so bad about the whole situation!

Feedback is a great idea. Thanks for adding that!

Wow, Mike. That's a fantastic idea. Here I was wondering what it was all about and just stumbled across the explanation right here.
