Royal blue Saddle pad/ blanket
Royal blue Classic Equine boots

Would be interested in:

breast collars
headstalls
western bits
anything extra thats cheap

What I have for sell/trade:

1) a set (4) of used Professional's Choice Elite SMB boots Lime green and purple. Used, but in great shape. I ran the barrels in them several times, but I'll wash them and make sure there is no velcro issues, but I honestly don't think so. I take very good care of my tack. ($70 or trade)
2) a loose ring wire snaffle 5 1/4" ($16 shipped or trade)
3) a O-ring combo gag dog bone mouthpiece used a few times on my colt and disinfected ($32 shipped or trade)
4) a Martha Josey shank combo dog bone mouthpiece has never been on a horse ($45 shipped or trade)
5) an adjustable Troxel helmet with a velcro visor used a few times. It's in great shape. I will disinfect it because I would want someone to do the same for me. ($25 shipped or trade)
6) New leather yearling show halter. I put it on my mare once only to find its too small. Paid 90 for it, but I can't get rid of it. So, make an offer. ($70 obo or trade)
7) Royal blue Nylon halter used for like 2 weeks before my fat headed mare grew out of it. It has been washed in a pillow case in my washer and drier. Yes, lol, it works. ($10 shipped or trade)

Non horse related:
1) Hamster cage including food dish, water-er, wheel, and shelf with tube. W/ bedding and food. I have disinfected the cage and what came in it. There is enough bedding for one more usage. About half a bag of food left. ($15 + shipping or $25 shipped or trade)
2) Shoes, I know is sounds gross but all have been washed and they have been worn probably 3 times at the most. It is mostly fancy flip flops and tennis shoes, skechers, danskin and heels. (anywhere from $4+ shipping to $15+ shipping or trade)
3) Books, none horse educational but great horse stories books and great teen books and one adult only book, rated R. All in great shape(anything from $2+ shipping to 13+ shipping or trade)
4) Boots, Tony Lama Ladies Sz 7B, Worn once or twice to go dancing but the hieght of the heels hurt my feet, I have foot issues. There is one scuff I saw on the toe, but I was seriously checking them over to find it. Paid 175 for them. ($90 shipped or trade)

Not all have pictures (helmet and SMB boots)

The SMBs are officially unavailable. I traded for a set of 4 Black Classic Equine Pro Tech Boots. They are in just as good shape as mine. Black is closer to my color(s) (black and blue) than lime green and purple, I'm still looking for blue Classic Equine boots. Sell or trade. These boots, which I will soon have pictures of, are $80 or trade. I have never used this type of Classic Equine boots before, but from what I have read on the internet and heard from my barrel horse friends they say they work the same as the Classic Equine Legacy boots just with hard shells to protect the tendons and such.

Again, *Classic Equine Pro Tech boots are replacing the lime/purple boots on the sell/trade list.*

Thank you guys.

Oh! and to add to my "Looking for" list, A tie down headstall. Leather preferred.

I know, that's why I jumped on your full cheek when you had it for sale. That bit does have long shanks on it. I'll be honest I don't even know where I got it. I have a bosal but I'm going to start back with the basics with Sienna since we couldn't work together for so long. I'm going to use the full cheek to work on her reining, not as harsh on the mouth, I guess probably my favorite bit I've ever used. I think Sienna was jerked around a lot before I got her, and I'll admit I tighten up the reins when I get tense. Thus the bosal. However, I wanted a bit for working on her reining first, and reminding the little snot how to behave before I threw a bosal on her. I'll keep the full cheek so I can always switch for a tune up if I need too.

I agree completely. I'm moving my Western Pleasure horse up to a shank because she is finally ready to have her cues and such refined and good gosh there are some ridiculous shank bits out there. I have her in a short shank, broken mouthpiece wrapped in copper.

Chele, I don't know what you mean? I used the BO's full cheek at the other barn, but I know I tightened the reins when I got anxious, which might not have had a thing to do with the ride, but something I was obsessing about in my head. So I bought Sienna a bosal but she's only had it on once with a saddle and breast collar while I was lunging her this winter. When the BO decided she wasn't going to do boarding anymore, I moved Sienna without so much as a hoof pick. I had my headstall, and had bought the bosal and mecate reins, and a pair of hobbles because I thought I might take her fishing with me this summer and wanted to be able to untack her and let her graze. When I bought the bosal AND the hobbles, the BO raised a fit, said she had those so I didn't need to spend my money. Well that was March, and before I knew it, I was looking for another place to go, no grooming tools, no saddle or blankets, no lead rope even, nothing. So the bosal was based on tight hands at times, and the full cheek because that's what I've ridden Sienna in since I got her, or her rope halter. I figure after 4-5 months on the ground, and very little of it because of the horrid winter we had, I might want to use the snaffle first.

I'm sorry for the misleading post.

I meant - I don't understand the need to go from a snaffle to something with more - bite. Not you, persay, just in general.

Chili does decently in a bosal and decently in a loose ring snaffle. I think she would do wonderful in a combo bit but they're expensive! However, she did very well in a D-ring snaffle the other day. It's my next choice. Her previous owner was using a Jr Cowhorse. If the D-ring doesn't work well on a continual basis, I will go back to the Cowhorse. If THAT doesn't work, I'm sending her/having a trainer come take a look. My hands get a little tight as well when I get anxious. I've also decided to take the anxiety out of the equation. I ride more comfortably and more confidently bareback. I plan to ride that way from now on. I know there are those out there who frown upon it but it's my decision and I'm comfortable with it more than riding in a saddle - and Chili can feel it.

As for the sudden move, I understand COMPLETELY!!!!

Sissy - LOL I don't mind being offered stuff I'm looking for! :) But, I'm looking for a D-ring. I have an O-ring already.

I understand about the bumps, etc and about the show-ring, although I think it's stupid to require such a thing. I mean, if a horse works in it, why mess with it? Why do they make you change it?? I am not a show person - at all.

When I used Chili in the D-ring the other day, I had 2 fingers on the reins and with 1 finger was able to touch the reins and tell her which direction I wanted. Of course, I was also giving her leg cues too and that is what she's used to more than anything else. I can't do that in a saddle tho. (I can't. not saying it can't be done).

Does a bosal have more bite than a full cheek? And I wasn't aware of what Sissy just said about any over 6 have to wear a shanked bit. I've never used a shanked bit on Sienna, and although I'd like to show her in a couple barn shows by the end of the summer, I'm not going to do it in anything but my bosal. I guess they can just not allow us to win anything. I don't actually expect at 55 on my little free moving snot to start winning anything anyway, LOL. She needs a job, and I'm going to spend this summer trying to figure out which we're both best suited for. This place does everything from rodeos to 4-H shows, so somewhere in between there I hope I can find something we like to do (and still go fishing, LOL)

Morab - I think the "bite" would depend on how it's used? A bosal used incorrectly can harm Sienna's nose but any bit can harm her mouth - so it just depends! I like using a bosal on Chili but didn't have Mecate reins to go along with it - just regular reins criss crossed at the fiodor(sp?)

I got the bosal and mecate reins on Ebay

I got the bosal first, and told the then BO I had mecate reins coming. They're new, the bosal was used. She told me she had a dvd if I wanted to learn how to tie them but I told her I'd been watching videos on youtube. I swear she got a little huffy about that :D I think before the big blow up she'd kinda adopted me because I knew nothing about natural horsemanship, didn't hear of that when I had my other horses 30 years ago. She really worked with me a lot, but I also muck stalls, and helped hay, etc. because I wanted to help her. The first time I put the bosal on Sienna (only time I guess) over her rope halter this winter when it was a nice enough day to actually lunge her, the BO moved it up for me, said I had it too low. I haven't 'fit' it to her like I saw on some videos, i,e,, wetting it, etc. I plan to do that this summer at the barn. I don't want to hurt her nose or have it rub. I hope I can use it without being too harsh. The reason I'm 'tuning' up her neck reining is because I didn't even know she knew how. The BO told me, had ridden her out trail ridding last summer. She said, 'not great but she knows what it is.' So I want to do that in something she's comfortable in and used too, the full cheek snaffle. I don't want to end up hauling on her head with this. My mecate reins are the softest cotton, I just love them. And I like having the lead attached. I put full gear on her that day, saddle and breast plate and put the mecate's over the horn, and wrapped the lead around the horn. It came loose while she was lunging, and she almost jumped on top of me when she shied. Hmmm, need a little work on that too, LOL. I can use the lead to wrap around her legs, and butt and back, etc like I used to do with a 'happy, carrot, or whatever' stick leather end.
I'll get her going good for a couple weeks in the snaffle then switch. I'll put the bosal on her though when I lunge her so she gets used to the feel of it. I just have so many things I want to do, and sometimes this is my problem, I don't get one thing done good enough before I move on. I'm going to sit down and write this all out so I can leave it at the barn, and maybe stay more focused.

The western headstall with the v browband is a set with a breastcollar, I haven't given a price yet. I'm either wanting to trade it for another set (the headstall is too big) or sell it to but another set. $$ I would take 35 for the set. Trade, another set.

The shank combo is sold, getting some sets of reins for that one :)

I can't believe people aren't jumping on CE boots. I know I would..... Maybe I'm not advertising them right?
