WTB: Bareback SADDLE - not the pad, the saddle

I've seen the difference. A girl I kinda know has one but she has no idea what brand it is and bought it off Ebay. I've looked but cannot find it. It's kinda like the Tough-1's but firmer instead of floppy nylon. Came with stirrups and a girth.

If anyone has one or knows where I can get one, I'm searching!

here is a photo of what I remember hers looking like - but I'm fairly certain hers was here in the USA, not overseas....

Not sure but I think that's the Alanta Barefoot model.

I have a cheyenne w/nubuck leather.

I HIGHLY recommend them..its my favorite saddle in the whole world and my horse has a totally different attitude. I got mine for $425...you can get them used...if you buy them new they do not come with the fenders/leathers or the girth.

Gidget, is this the NEW saddle you've been raving about for months? If so, dammit, girl, I wish I'd known that before I bought my Stubben!!! LOL

HAHAHAHAAH,yep...I'm soooo for treeless saddles and use to be against them untill I researched more about them. You need a special saddle pad.Very nice saddle, soooo comfy. My horse was ALWAYS sore with every treed saddle(I still have my wintec I got for xmas and she seems to get a bit sore...i need to change the gullet size..I think I found the issue)..anyways,I still check her back.Well I have my husband do it as he has stronger hands then me and I want to make sure nothing is bothering her and I have yet to see a sore back. I did the string test to check clearance before I sat on it and after and I have clearance as I would if I rode in a tree saddle. If my horse spooks I feel I have more control as I can feel all her movements. And if it's cold you can defiently get warmed up while riding as the heat from the rider and horse can be felt but you can also keep comfortable and cool....I have nothing bad to say about this saddle.

How much were you wanting to spend? I can help you find a used one. I need to know what size you need as well.

Well, if this saddle is different from the one the girl I know has - it's probably outta my price range until I sell BOTH my Western & English saddle. At least, that's my guess! About how much do they run used?

Chili is WIDE which is why I've had a problem finding a saddle to fit her. Seat wise - 16-17" western sizing.

Okay,so you need a size 2.

Used ones can run about 400 and up..SOMETIMES you can find them at a lower price unless you want a new one it's a lot more...I like used =D You can get the kind with the vps system( it has shims built into the saddle) or the traditional older ones without..I have mine without which are cheaper. Let me see what I can find real quick.
